this is a video on how to make a flat mop for spawning aquarium fish.My sister came up with this because she acquired a pair of luminatus that didn't like the normal hanging mop.She put one of her flat mops in the tank with the normal hanging mop a few days later she found 5 eggs in the flat mop & only 1 egg in the hanging mop.She finely pulled the hanging mop she said they just wouldn't use it & went for the flat mop every time.

Awesome!!!. Brings another great way for egg collecting in yarn..Let me know when you sell some..I so don't have the patience for that! lol

Thanks Sue and Jodee for making the video. What size and type of material is the mat made out of? Plastic from the craft store that's usually use for? How big are the holes in it?
And Mark, :-) I agree! But I sure did enjoy doing that stuff when I was a kid. Lol.

Here's a picture with info on the plastic mesh and crochet hook used in this type of mop. I think a latch-hook would be fast and easy, but finding the right size plastic mesh might be a challenge.
