Good afternoon! A few months ago my family made the plunge to upgrade our setup from a 10 gallon tank of Mollies to a 65 gallon tank. We went to the LFS after a couple weeks, let the boys pick out a pleco and one fish to help establish the tank. One of my boys picked out the palest one, named him “Owl” and it’s now history. This fish, picked out of a Tetra tank, is a Rainbowfish! Here’s the problem, I am having a hard time identifying her and could use someone with a lot more experience to help confirm if this is in fact a female yellow? I tried buying a pair online, but they arrived DOA. Since, I am trying to stick to a LFS. There isn’t much of a horizontal line, the body is pale yellow, with orange coloration to the fins with the dorsal having the edges grayed. - DH Sorry, I don’t know how to upload a photo...

Hi there! Welcome to the joys of Rainbowfish. 😊 Since you are unable to upload a pic here,....are you on Facebook? If so, you can find our group on there, it's simply called Rainbowfish Live. And you can upload photos pretty easily, and tell your experience to our members on there. ~Lori
