Sorry for delay.Looks to be fairly close. At least with this first batch. End count was 24 dark /16 light. I counted 20 males and 14 females.I will try this again soon with some Kangaroo Creek Mellis

Thanks Mark. I thought you were going to keep the dark & light ones separate to see if they were indeed different sexes.

not the entire hatch. Only 4 from each in different fry tanks. not enough tanks available .so not totally conclusive. Mellis change the colors mood throughout the day so not sure if that happens in the container or not that gives disappearance . Will definitely have to do this again in a more controlled way . have a bunch more eggs collected so I will definitely separate what I see into different tanks and grow them out
